Turkish Airlines launched Istanbul-Abuja direct flights on 3 March 2015. A cocktail was held for the maiden flight at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. Distinguished guests includingthe Honorable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, H.E. Mr. Olusegun Aganga, Honourable Minister of State for Education, Prof. Viola Onwuliri, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Mr. Mustafa Pulat,Permanent Secretary of Industry, Trade and Investment, Ambassador Abdulkadir Musa, Chief of Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Usman Baraja, Deputy Director General for Marketing and Salesof Turkish Airlines, Mr. Ahmet Olmustur participatedin the cocktail.
